joint degree between the Civil Engineering Department and school of
architecture and includes a summer internship for students without prior
work experience.
California Institute of
Technology
The California Institute of Technology, also known as Cal Tech, is known
for its small size and high caliber scholars. Students in the chemical
engineering programs focus on the areas of kinetics, thermodynamics and
transport phenomena; each student is also required to extend their
education with a minor in a non-engineering subject. Similarly,
mechanical engineering graduate students take almost half of their
courses in mathematics or other technical disciplines.
University of Texas-Austin
One of the most famous departments at the University of Texas ' flagship
campus is Department of civil, architectural, and environmental
engineering. Degree options in the Department include a common
