The Coosa County School System is a public school system that serves the county’s 5,000 students in grades K-12. The district is comprised of seven elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and one alternative school. The district operates a number of programs to meet the needs of its diverse student population including special education services, advanced placement classes and career-technical education courses. The Central Alabama Community College System is a public two-year college offering associate’s degrees in a variety of fields including business administration, computer science and healthcare technology. Students have access to on-campus housing as well as off-campus apartments and can also participate in athletics at both the varsity and club levels. In addition to its academic offerings, CACC provides a wide range of student services such as counseling, career guidance and financial aid assistance.
